Another successful workshop under the “DigiLearn” Project, implemented by Webcoms Webcomms Global with the sponsorship of the Lanka Institute of Language and Information Technology (LILIT) and with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, was held on 8 May 2026 at Siriwardhana Central College in the Dehiowita Education Zone.

The workshop was attended by 80 students from Grades 10 and 11 and 10 teachers. Participants were provided with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in effectively applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to the teaching and learning process, while also gaining an understanding of the responsible use of AI and digital technologies in education.

A key focus of the workshop was to move beyond simply introducing students to emerging technologies and provide them with practical experience in transforming these technologies into useful tools for their everyday learning. Through practical activities and demonstrations, students were encouraged to explore how AI and digital technologies can support more effective, engaging, and independent learning.

The event was attended by the Principal of Kalyani Maha Vidyalaya and the Project Coordinator of the Lanka Institute of Language and Information Technology (LILIT).
